Some Ways to Cook Cucumber

I got a little bit surprised that I found an article for how to cook vegetables. Some, can be found in Indonesia, e.g. corn, cauliflower, broccoli, lettuce, mushrooms and cucumber. Now let us see what would we have for cucumber.

Cucumber Catsup
Take twelve of large and full grown cucumbers,and four onions. Peel the cucumbers, take the skin off the onions. Grate them, let the pulp drain through a sieve (in several hours). After that, season highly with salt and pepper, add also a good cider vinegar until the pickles tastes strongly, and it rises a little to the op. Put the cucumbers in jars or wide-mouthed bottles. Seal them as to be airtight. The pickles tastes more like fresh cucumber than anything else.

Fried Cucumber
Take a good sized cucumber and boil them until nearly soft in milk and water flavored slightly with onion. Remove and dry, cut it up into slices and brush each slice (about a third of an inch thick, with egg, and dip in bread crums or make a batter and dip each slice within, after which fry in butter tillamber down. This recipe is served in the center of a hot dish (perfectly matched with mashed potatoes round).
